On this night of Samhain I mark your passing
O sun King, through the sunset into the Land of the Young.
I mark also the passing of all who have gone before,
and all who will go after. O Gracious Goddess,
eternal Mother, You who gives birth to the fallen,
teach me to know that in the time of the greatest
darkness there is the greatest light.
I’m really just posting to let you all know that I am still alive. Life gets in the way a lot of the time, and sometimes I just sit here looking at my site and I can’t think of anything that is necessarily notable, because every day is the same lately, nothing changes.
We’ve been in our apartment now for 6 months, which is crazy because we still have stuff that we need to fix around here. I will post pictures once we clean up tomorrow (because we’re getting a new sofa). The summer heat is starting to hit and all I can say is thank the goddess for airconditioning! It’s been pretty warm a few days in the last week, and it’s not even summer for another month.
Looking forward to Samhain next week – will probably only do a small ritual to remember those who’ve passed as I will be working the late shift that day, but I’ll do my best.
Anyway, as I say it’s just a post to let you know I’m still alive and more updates coming soon, looking at a new layout soon.
Whilst I have done paid blogging in the past, I find it’s not productive enough to make any amount of money unless you’re constantly doing it, which can in turn piss off your readers. So I’ve made the decision to go ad-free. If I mention products or services at all, they’ll be my genuine opinions on things I actually utilise, and I will not be paid for them.
