Photos of the New Place!

We’re all moved in and have internet again, so of course my priority is to show you guys pictures!
I’ve got 16 pictures, so I’m putting them after the break, so you can choose to view them or not (some peoples’ computers might not appreciate the big image load).

I LOVE the windows in your bedroom! So much light and open feeling. The place looks great. And you look all unpacked and stuff which makes me feel kinda loserish because we still have an entire room of boxes packed from moving… 9 months ago. heh

Looks can be deceiving :P I didn’t take you to the garage, where there’s many boxes with junk in them :P But we’re pretty much all unpacked otherwise :)

Thanks Sara! I’ve had a lot of fun organising the stuff on the windowsill in the bathroom :P I have lots of little decorative things I’ve collected over the years, including what seems to be hundreds of candles, so that was the best place to put them!

Thanks Brianne! I love the view too – and the trees are nicely placed so that you can’t see the huge cement silos down on the wharf lol!

How pretty! Are all of the houses in Australia set up with the toilet separate from the shower? What a brilliant idea. =P

No, not all toilets are separate from the bathroom, but in a lot of cases they are. I think it’s the best, I hate having the toilet in the same room. Our old apartment’s toilet was in the same room, and it sucked :P

In the house I’m building, my bathroom is a room but the shower and toilet are each their own rooms. It’s a bit weird, but it’s the new style here in the states. Though putting the walk-in closet in the bathroom rather than the bedroom is a trend I totally agree with.

I really love the layout of the place, and there’s a lot of details that I adore. The bedroom windows and the bathroom window in particularly are absolute *love*. Gz on the house, it does look very charming and pleasant to live in, plenty of space! I’m ridiculously envious.

[...] The New Place – moving back into our own space was excellent, after living for something like 9-10 months at my parents’ place. We’d lived together on our own before, so it wasn’t a particularly outstanding achievement or event in itself, but it was a regaining of our freedom and independence. [...]
