Phase Three of House Revamping: Complete!
The second part of the house that we’ve completed is our bedroom. I pretty much knew before we moved in what I wanted to do with it, and the outcome has just made me incredibly happy.
Before (ignore the mess, this was the night that we moved in):
After:
The room is so much warmer and cozier now. There’s still a few things left to do – the carpet needs replacing, the trim around the door and skirting boards needs painting, the ceiling needs repainting, the picture rails need to go up (as they do in the hallway, too), and we’re replacing the light fitting with a pendant/chandelier-type light (not a huge fancy one, just a simple delicate one). I’d also like some new lamps, so that’s in the works too.
But I’m so much happier and more comfortable in our room now. I LOVE it!

Oooh! Purple! I like it. Mike would never let me paint a bedroom wall purple. It looks a lot more modern and really pops. Well done!
I love it! Not many people are brave enough to use a color that bold in their rooms: I think you pulled it off very well!!

I love it! I wish I could do something like that to my house!
P.S. Wanna link exchange?
I love the purple! It looks great!

Looks amazing! Well done!
Wow, that looks amazing! What made you decide to do purple?
I certainly see what you mean about the carpet; it’s not a very attractive one. Any particular plans for replacing it?

My favourite colour is pink, but since I share the bedroom with my husband, who isn’t exactly partial to pink, we went for a more masculine purple.
We’re not sure what we’re going to do about the carpet yet – it’s not attractive, and it smells (previous tenants of the house must have had cats &/or dogs that just peed wherever they pleased). We’ll probably just replace it with new carpet.
The purple bed looks really cool.
