Sway

A song I’ve loved since I first heard it in 1997. Although I was only 9 years old when this song came out, it resonated with me, and still does on so many levels. It’s just a beautiful song and I have to share it.

Don’t stray
Don’t ever go away
I should be much too smart for this
You know it gets the better
Of me sometimes
When you and I collide
I fall into an ocean of you
Pull me out in time
Don’t let me drown
Let me down
I say it’s all because of you
And here I go
Losing my control
I’m practising your name
So I can say it to your face it doesn’t seem right
To look you in the eye
And let all the things you mean to me
Come tumbling out my mouth indeed it’s time
Tell you why
I say its infinitely true

Say you’ll stay
Don’t come and go
Like you do
Sway my way
Yeah I need to know
All about you

And there’s no cure
And no way to be sure
Why everything’s turned inside out
Instilling so much doubt
It makes me so tired
I feel so uninspired
My head is battling with my heart
My logic has been torn apart
And now
It all turns sour
Come sweeten
My every afternoon

Say you’ll stay
Don’t come and go
Like you do
Sway my way
Yeah I need to know
All about you
Say you’ll stay
Don’t come and go
Like you do
Sway my way
Yeah I need to know
All about you
It’s all because of you
It’s all because of you

98.7!?!

So after my last post, which was on Friday 16th July, I’ve lost another 800 grams – I’m now UNDER 99kg!!!

I’m so ecstatic, and this just motivates me even more to lose the weight I need to lose.

Also, check this out:

size 16 jeans!

These are a pair of jeans that I’ve not been able to fit into and button up comfortably for about two years. Given, they are still a little tight, but I WORE them today. I LOVE RESULTS!

99.5kg!

or 219.35lbs. It still sounds like a lot of weight, but currently I am the lowest weight I’ve been in about 3½ – 4 years. I think once the ’98′ starts showing, that’s when it will really hit that whatever I’m doing is working.

From August 2008, I’ve lost 8.5kg or ~18lbs. Another 19.5kg to go, but slow & steady wins the race. If I lose about half a kilo every week until the end of the year, I should be hitting the 85kg mark.

Wish me luck!

Phase Three of House Revamping: Complete!

The second part of the house that we’ve completed is our bedroom. I pretty much knew before we moved in what I wanted to do with it, and the outcome has just made me incredibly happy.

Before (ignore the mess, this was the night that we moved in):

After:

The room is so much warmer and cozier now. There’s still a few things left to do – the carpet needs replacing, the trim around the door and skirting boards needs painting, the ceiling needs repainting, the picture rails need to go up (as they do in the hallway, too), and we’re replacing the light fitting with a pendant/chandelier-type light (not a huge fancy one, just a simple delicate one). I’d also like some new lamps, so that’s in the works too.
But I’m so much happier and more comfortable in our room now. I LOVE it!
