The Site

Terri.nu came into existance on June 8th 2009. It was purchased from GoDaddy and is hosted with Surnaturelle.

It all began when I started designing my own little sites on Expages (no longer existing) when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I made my way through gURLpages and Topcitites after that, teaching myself HTML and CSS, and going through various site names in the process. I was ‘discovered’ by a girl named Krissy in January 2002, and she offered to host me on her personal domain (g0sh.net or something like that). This was when I was introduced to the wonderful world of FTP and uploading and, being new to it all, I had no idea how to use it, but with Krissy’s help and guidance I quickly caught on and am now a fully confident FTP user.
My last hosted site was at PixelFX, after which I decided to take the big step and purchase my own domain.

Never-Silent.net was purchased by my parents for me for my birthday in February 2005. After a year and a half of working with N-S.net, it became a hacker’s plaything, and had to be closed down on the 5th September 2006. Inspirata.org was born.

To be completely honest, the name Inspirata.org came about after a late afternoon brainstorming session with Jess. There’s no big story behind it – I just had to come up with a name for my new domain quickly, and that’s what we came up with.

In June 2009, I decided I needed a change – after nearly three years under the Inspirata title, as well as taking it on as my business name, I wanted to separate from it a little in terms of my personal thoughts. Therefore, I purchased Terri.nu.

Ad-Free

Whilst I have done paid blogging in the past, I find it’s not productive enough to make any amount of money unless you’re constantly doing it, which can in turn piss off your readers. So I’ve made the decision to go ad-free. If I mention products or services at all, they’ll be my genuine opinions on things I actually utilise, and I will not be paid for them.
