We’ve been in the new house for about 5 weeks now, and I only just realised I never posted a floorplan of the house with the photos, to give you an idea of the layout!

So, without further ado:

The second part of the house that we’ve completed is our bedroom. I pretty much knew before we moved in what I wanted to do with it, and the outcome has just made me incredibly happy.

Before (ignore the mess, this was the night that we moved in):

The room is so much warmer and cozier now. There’s still a few things left to do – the carpet needs replacing, the trim around the door and skirting boards needs painting, the ceiling needs repainting, the picture rails need to go up (as they do in the hallway, too), and we’re replacing the light fitting with a pendant/chandelier-type light (not a huge fancy one, just a simple delicate one). I’d also like some new lamps, so that’s in the works too.
But I’m so much happier and more comfortable in our room now. I LOVE it!

We’re in our new house, our very own. I won’t spend a lot of time typing, since I’m freakin’ exhausted, but I will show you some pictures, and mention that there is a fair bit of progress to be made with the house (but we’re not afraid to do it!!). I forgot to take a photo of the bathroom, but it’s nothing special and I probably wouldn’t be able to fit it all in the photo anyway (it’s so tiny). I also haven’t taken a photo of the laundry/toilet because you probably don’t want to see that. Photos of the yard and outside are to come too.
