Lazy Sundays

It’s been a total lazy Sunday today for me. I’ve done barely anything productive, which I feel is how a Sunday should be. Probably the most productive thing I’ve done today is sit with Michael and work out the playlist for my birthday party – but we’ve just discovered we’re going to have to do it again, because out of at least 50-60 songs, only about 10-15 registered on the playlist. So I’m a little pissed over that, but we’ll soon work it all out again I guess.

I’ve had a further growing concern for my Layla-puss, who’s become increasingly skinnier and skinnier. I make sure I sit with her while she eats, so I can see how much she has and ensure Hendrix doesn’t butt in to eat her food as well as her own, but she’s still not putting on the weight. I hope it’s just something to do with her still adjusting to her environment and not anything serious. Besides, when she last went to the vet, the vet said she was a happy, healthy cat. So *shrugs* iono.

I’ve had a bad food day today as well; I had a baked potato with corn and cream cheese sauce for lunch, and KFC for dinner. Not good – no wonder I’m not losing the pounds. I got down to 101.3kg on Friday, and then today I’m back up to 103kg, so I don’t know what’s going on there – hopefully it’s just fluid retention or something like that.

I had a kind-of productive night last night – managed to submit my second article to The Pagan Activist, and put up a new layout at the site for the Proud Pagan Podcasters. There was a bit of a tiff over there about a flash media player just ‘disappearing’, even though I didn’t touch the plugin that takes care of flash modules, so I don’t know, it’s all sorted out now and I guess that’s all that matters.

Things are coming along for the party – after yesterday’s effort (removing three trailer-loads of dirt and rubble from the backyard), today was a total chillax day, but I’m sure we’ll be getting straight back into it again tomorrow. There’s a little painting to do, the toilet to go in in the laundry, some electrical work (the plumber and electrician are coming tomorrow morning) and just general tidy-up and setup. By the way, most of this stuff was going to happen at some point anyway – we didn’t just call the electrician and plumber to put these things in just for the party! – but it was a good motivational tool to get stuff down around here.

So that’s about it – got to leave something to talk about tomorrow, I suppose! NaBloPoMo is working out for me so far!

OZZY!

So, I haven’t had a chance to blog at all since a couple of weeks ago, and I apologise for that. I’ve been working, and having school work to do, it cuts into my internet time significantly. So to fill you all in, especially in regards to older posts. I managed to come up with a new net username, which is neither mature nor two words like I thought I wanted, but I still love it, so around the net if you see anyone by the name of ‘pinkcowsgomoo’, you can presume its me – I haven’t seen anyone else about with it. So hand-in-hand with that, I’ve made a new Loowa, a new MySpace and changed my Twitter name, so you can find links to all those in the sidebar under “About”.

Additionally, I put together a new layout, so I hope you like it. No, it’s not Valid CSS or XHTML, simply for the fact that if I put in a doctype, it ruins the header tabs hover thing I have going on – if you have a solution for that at all, so that I might be able to validate my site, PLEASE let me know!

But finally to the actual reason for this post – due to my time being so busy, I haven’t had a chance to blog about the Ozzy Osbourne concert we went to last Saturday.

I’ve loved Ozzy for years – he’s one of my favourite musos, and the chance came up to go and see him, since he was coming to Melbourne. The last time he was in Australia was in 1998, too fucking long ago. So when we heard he was coming, I went to look at ticket prices. It was $99 a ticket in the nosebleeds. So at the time I said no, because we didn’t have the money. But things changed in about late December/early January, when I got my credit card. I worked it out – 10 years since Ozzy was here last, Ozzy turns 60 this year – if it’s another 10 years before he might even come here, he’ll be 70 and probably too old to perform. This might be the last time he tours, at least globally.

So I thought about it – $200 ain’t that bad to see a guy who you’ve loved for ages and probably won’t get a chance to see ever again. So, I whipped out the credit card and bought tickets in the nosebleeds.

We headed out there on Saturday the 15th, got there at about 6pm (the show was due to start at 8), and bought a t-shirt each (since it’s now my new hobby to collect band t-shirts!). We waited… and waited… and waited… and finally they opened the doors to the arena. We made our way inside, found our seats and sat taking in the surroundings and atmosphere – it was pretty electric. Then the supporting band, Sevendust, came out – they were pretty awesome, did a great job of riling (sp?) up the crowd, but the magic happened after Sevendust and an intermission; there were some funny clips played on the big screens of Ozzy in movies and TV shows, like The Office, The Queen, Pirates of the Caribbean, that kind of thing. And then the curtain in front of the stage fell… and there was Ozzy. Oh Em Gee. I SCREAMED until my voice gave way. This guy is incredible! For a near-60 year old guy to get up on stage like that, and perform like he was 20 years old, holy shit he was awesome! And Zakk Wylde, his guitarist who is a celebrity in his own right, was so totally crazy!

So I’m stupid for not remembering the set list, but he played “Mama I’m Coming Home”, my favourite song, and “Crazy Train” (of course). And then, right at the end of the show, Zakk throws his guitar INTO THE CROWD! There’s this HUGE scramble for it, and finally one guy gets it and has to be escorted out by security so he doesn’t get nabbed or beaten up (I’m sure they would have had to get a taxi or something for him to get home!).

All in all, it was FUCKING INCREDIBLE! I can’t wait for my next arena concert!

OZZY FUCKING RULES! (by pinkcowsgomoo)

Photoblog, and more help required

Just a short post to say welcome to the month of March, and the countdown of 14 days starts today till the OZZY OSBOURNE CONCERT! I’m so fucking excited – it’ll most likely be the last chance ever to see Ozzy live in concert, so I’m totally pumped.

Anyway, I’ve purchased my domain for my photoblog, and it has a name that, if I want to change it to something else it’ll still work. So make your way over to Cada Momento and take a peek.

However, I still need some help. As many of my regular visitors might know, I use the usernames ‘mztwizted’, ‘xomztwiztedox’ and ‘xo.mztwizted.ox’ all over the place. However, I think it’s time for a change. Number one, I am getting sick of spelling it out for my RL friends who want to add me to MSN or email me. Number two, I registered that username over 3 years ago, and I have matured a lot since then and would like something to reflect that. So, throw some ideas at me. If you need some idea of what I’m like, you can click ‘terri’ at the top of the page and it’ll take you to my ‘about me’ section, which might be able to help. I’m just totally stuck for a name. Most of my usernames come from other places anyway.

I’ll keep trying to think of one myself, but yeah throw those ideas my way!

Blogging for the sake of it

Every month or two, I state that I need to blog more. And every month or two I seem to forget to do so. I get so caught up in reading other peoples’ blogs and posting on message boards, and working, that I forget to maintain my own site. I really promise I’ll try to make more of an effort.

For now, here’s a wicked awesome film clip of my favourite song at the moment:
